Viewer discretion is advised.nnI have been anxiously waiting for this panel and although it was very quick, it did not disappoint. There was a little bit of Q&A with the director before bringing out the cast. Although interesting, there was nothing too noteworthy, so I will get straight to the cast.nn
nnAaron Taylor Johnson (AKA:. Kick Ass)- They show a mash-up of the original and throw in a couple of pieces of the new film. Holy shit he bulked up!!! The standard questions were asked and the same answer was given… He read the script and couldn’t put it down.nnCristopher Mintz-Plasse- In Kick-Ass he was Red Mist. However, due to the death of his father, he turned to the “dark side” and is now known as Motherf@$&er.nnChristopher said that it was a very dark ride his character takes. He knew he would be a super villain in Kick-Ass, but it was funny. “This is now much darker.” He was also glad they took out the murdering of the dog and raping a woman. Those were two horrible things his character does in the comic series written by Frank Miller.nnChloe Grace Moretz (AKA: Hit Girl)- She, unfortunately was not able to attend as she was filming in Boston. However, we were able to watch her live, via satellite.nnChloe starts off explaining how Hit Girl’s life has changed since the death of her father. She now lives with her step-father, goes to school, and has given up fighting crime. But it is hard for her as she realizes that she (Mindy) and Hit Girl are one in the same.nnShe then discusses briefly about playing Carrie in the remake of Carrie and how she really likes to play those characters that are nothing like her.nnNow, there are some new members of the Kick-Ass crew.nnJim Carrey joins the cast as Captain Stars and Stripes. He did not show up as he refuses to promote the movie due to the violence. Now, I know what you are saying… Why would he do a movie with such strong violence and then get all bent out of shape about it. Well, that is a completely different discussion. Apparently she gets pretty close to Kick-Ass.nnDonald Faison, who many of you may know from CLUELESS and SCRUBS is playing Dr. Gravity. They really didn’t get to his part, but I’m sure he will be a great addition!n
nJohn Leguizamo plays Javier. He works for Motherf&*%@r. But don’t confuse him for the butler. When he was asked to join the cast, he wanted to know if he’d be playing a badass. They said, “No. Play yourself.” He talks about how MFs mother dies and Javier finds him trying on a dominatrix outfit that was hidden in a box.nnCM-P: “I think I grabbed some anal beads, but that was left out.”nnJL: “No, that’s in another trailer.”n
