Call to Cosplay, Season 3? Yes Please!

nnSo, does anyone remember Heroes of Cosplay?  I don’t know about you, but I was sorely disappointed when that aired.  What it lacked in cosplay tutorials, it practically suffocated you with drama.  So much drama that I skipped through 90% of the show, just to see what the costumes looked like (and I was NOT blown away by a lot of what was presented…).nnMYXtv’s Call to Cosplay is giving us what we wanted and expected from that other show by taking a group of cosplayers, giving them a category, and having them compete within an 8-hour time frame for prizes!  Another great aspect of this show is that they throw in mystery elements and specific dollar amounts.  Now, being a cosplayer, I know how difficult it can be getting something done in a short period of time.nnPrevious seasons focused more on what you would see at cons, which is manga, anime, and superheroes.  This season is broadening the spectrum to allow EVERYTHING pop-culture!  Another new feature is that they won’t just be in a soundstage.  You will get to see the west coast and cosplay inspired by the locations!  How awesome is that?n

“Themes include “Supervillains,” filmed at the Gothic Revival-styled Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles and ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Apocalypse,’ filmed at the famed Arctic Club in Seattle, originally a decadent social institution for those who struck it rich in the Yukon gold rush-“
