WonderCon 2026: Our Exclusive Photos with the Ted Cast + Your Guide to the Series

We had the chance to photograph the cast of Peacock’s hit comedy series Ted at WonderCon and they could not have been more welcoming. The energy, humor, and warmth they brought to the convention perfectly reflect the spirit of the show itself – a nostalgic, raunchy, and surprisingly heartfelt look at the early years of Ted and John Bennett.

About the Show

Ted is a comedy prequel series created and directed by Seth MacFarlane, serving as the third installment in the Ted franchise. Set in 1993, the show follows teenage John Bennett and his foul‑mouthed, magically alive teddy bear, Ted, as they navigate high school, family life, and the chaos that comes with growing up.

Currently there are 2 seasons of Ted that are streaming exclusively on Peacock, with all episodes available on demand. Peacock

The Cast at Wondercon –

Max Burkholder — John Bennett

Burkholder plays teenage John, socially awkward but good‑hearted, constantly dragged into Ted’s misadventures. You may recognize him from The Purge and Parenthood.

Alanna Ubach — Susan Bennett

Ubach portrays Susan, John’s sharp, no‑nonsense mother who tries (and often fails) to keep order in the Bennett household. You may recognize her from Euphoria, Legally Blonde, or the voice of Mama Imelda in Coco. I also remember her from Waiting. HILARIOUS!

Scott Grimes — Matty Bennett

Grimes plays Matty, John’s well‑meaning but often clueless father, adding another layer of comedic chaos to the family dynamic. I remember him way back in Band of Brothers, which is AMAZING and you should watch that as well. More recently, you have American Dad (voice) and The Orville.

Giorgia Whigham — Blaire Bennett

Whigham stars as Blaire, John’s cousin, who brings her own rebellious streak and sharp humor to the Bennett home. You will definitely remember her from The Punisher and 13 Reasons Why.

The series blends the outrageous humor of the films with a nostalgic 90s setting, giving fans a deeper look at Ted and John’s early bond. Season 2 raises the stakes with bigger jokes, sharper writing, and more heartfelt moments.
